Nawanshahr- Under the guidelines of Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Principal Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department Rahul Bhandari and Director Dr. Gursharanjit Singh Bedi, Animal Husbandry Department launched vaccination campaign to protect cows from Foot and Mouth Disease at Shri Banke Bihari Gaushala, Nawanshahr. Vice President of Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training Lalit Mohan Pathak 'Ballu' and Deputy Director Dr. Rajesh Gupta were also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Dr. Rajesh Gupta said that it is very important to get the animals vaccinated as per the instructions given by the department to protect them from Foot and Mouth Disease. He said that no government fee will be charged for these vaccinations. He appealed to the livestock farmers to get their animals vaccinated to protect them from this deadly disease, which is being done by the employees of the Animal Husbandry Department by going door to door.
