Nawanshahr/Banga- Sikh National College Charan Kanwal Banga organized a reunion function to reunite the former students and to further strengthen their relationship with the institution. This program was organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder and under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the local administrative committee of the college, Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki.
In which the former student of the college, S. Tara Singh Arjun Awardee participated as the chief guest and international athlete Surjit Kaur, S. Hardev Singh and DSP Rakesh Kumar were also present. Welcoming all the former students who came on this occasion, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder remembered the founder of this famous and best institution of the region and talked about the continuous development of the college and expressed hope for every possible cooperation to take this educational institution, a leader in every field, to greater heights and for its all-round development.
President of the Alumni Association Prof. Pargan Singh Atwal (Retd.) while interacting with the alumni thanked all those who had extended their support in the developmental work initiated to put the college on the path of progress and hoped for such a wonderful response from them in future as well.
Chief Guest Mr. Tara Singh, DSP Rakesh Kumar, Mr. Manjinder Singh, International Athlete Surjit Kaur, Mr. Pradeep Singh, Mr. Joga Singh, Mr. Raj Bahrowal, Mr. Rajwinder Singh, Mr. Laaj Kumari, Prof. Iddu Ratti shared their valuable views and suggestions for the overall betterment of the college and also refreshed the sweet memories associated with the college and these alumni who consider the college as the base of their progress promised to extend all possible support to take the college to new heights.
Paramjit Singh Herian (USA), Jaswinder Singh Sokar (Lawyer), Balwinder Singh Sokar (Australia), Harbhajan Singh Sadhra (England), Harminder Singh Atwal (UK) Parminder Singh Atwal (UK) were also present on the occasion. On behalf of the college, the chief guest and former students were honored by giving plants as a souvenir. The stage was conducted by Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur and Prof. Tajinder Singh. Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur Makkar thanked the guests.
