Zirakpur 10 April 2025- JAC Residents Welfare Association Society Zirakpur has thanked Municipal Council Zirakpur, who has started action to remove illegal encroachments on the roads in Dhakoli area. This initiative will provide relief to the general public and will also smoothen the traffic system.
Society President Mr. Sukhdev Chaudhary said that this action is the result of a Contempt of Court petition filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court by an active member of JAC Residents Welfare Association Society Zirakpur. This shows that when a tough stand is taken by the civil organizations, the administration is also forced to take action.
Also, the society has requested the city council that this action should not be done in a “pick and choose” manner, but action should be taken fairly and equally against all the illegal encroachments in the area.
Mr. Choudhary also informed that now the next step will be taken against the encroachments happening on PR-7 Airport Road. For this, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) will be filed soon by JAC Residents Welfare Association Society Zirakpur.
