Garhshankar- Today, the meeting of CPI (M) District Hoshiarpur was held in Dr. Bhag Singh Hall of Garhshankar under the chairmanship of Neelam Badhaon. At the beginning of the meeting, Master Bhagat Ram expressed his condolences on the demise of former Lok Sabha member and colleague Bakshish Singh Nagara Baihalpur. Addressing the meeting, the state secretary of the party Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon gave detailed information about the political and organizational decisions passed by the 24th Party Congress and the review report of the decisions of the previous Party Congress.
He said that today, along with the strength of the CPI (M), unity of democratic secular forces is necessary to intensify the struggle against communal corporate alliances, Hindutva forces and opposition forces in the country. He also discussed the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, the involvement of foreign forces in bomb blasts and grenade attacks and expressed concern over the increasing corruption among farmers.
Party district secretary and state secretariat member Gurnek Singh Bhajjal shared the report of the work done for the struggle. He said that the conferences of our mass organizations are continuing. The women's organization Janwadi Stree Sabha is going to hold its provincial meeting in August in Garhshankar of Hoshiarpur district.
For its success, duties of all the comrades of the district have been assigned. Comrades should work hard to make it successful. To implement this, a general meeting of the Garhshankar party will be held on May 3.
