Taking another important step in this direction, the government has launched the Indira Gandhi Sukh Suraksha Yojana. This scheme is dedicated to building a bright future for daughters by providing them economic and social security. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had announced this scheme in his budget speech.
The main objective of the government through this scheme is to provide economic and social security to daughters. This will not only improve their health and education, but will also help them in realizing their future plans. This scheme is a visionary initiative of the state government which will help in empowering daughters along with guaranteeing them a safe future.
These are the features of the scheme
The state government has launched the Indira Gandhi Sukh Suraksha Yojana for two girls born in BPL families. This scheme will secure the future of daughters and will also make the Beti Hai Anmol scheme more powerful. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 25,000 will be deposited in the insurance company on the birth of the girl child. The girl's parents will be given a life insurance of Rs 2 lakh per parent. On maturity of the insurance, this amount will be provided to the girl as per her wish from the age of 18 to 27 years.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal expressed his commitment to effectively implement this scheme in Una district and said that our team will ensure that every eligible family gets the benefit of the scheme. Our aim is that no eligible girl child remains out of the scope of this scheme and they get a safe and bright future.
