Hoshiarpur- In a press conference today, Advocate Ranjit Kumar, in-charge of Indian National Congress Chabbewal constituency, said that in the Budget 2025 presented by the Punjab government, neither adequate funds have been provided for labourers, employees and farmers nor any concrete plan has been made for their welfare and progress.
Despite the rising inflation every day, there is no talk of increasing the wages of labourers or giving financial assistance. Along with this, no plan has been presented to give MSP to farmers on crops or to make farming a profitable business. No assurance has been given to give DA and arrears to employees at par with the Centre.
No time or fund has been fixed to give Rs 1000 to women as promised by the Aam Aadmi Party three years ago, which is a sheer betrayal of women. He said that despite three years of the government, there has been no increase in the income of Punjab, rather Punjab has a debt of about Rs 382 thousand crores, which is the result of financial mismanagement of the government.
