
Three farmers released from Patiala and Nabha jails.
Patiala, March 24- Out of the hundreds of farmers arrested by the police after dispersing the farmers' protest at Shambhu and Dhabi Gujran borders for 13 months for their agricultural demands, three were released from Patiala and Nabha jails today. Out of these, two leaders belonging to the southern states, PT John Panamuthi, a resident of Kerala, and PR Pandian, a resident of Tamil Nadu, have been ordered to be released by the SDM Patiala court.
Patiala, March 24- Out of the hundreds of farmers arrested by the police after dispersing the farmers' protest at Shambhu and Dhabi Gujran borders for 13 months for their agricultural demands, three were released from Patiala and Nabha jails today. Out of these, two leaders belonging to the southern states, PT John Panamuthi, a resident of Kerala, and PR Pandian, a resident of Tamil Nadu, have been ordered to be released by the SDM Patiala court.
These leaders were lodged in Patiala jail along with other farmers since the morning of March 20. When contacted, Superintendent of Central Jail Patiala Varun Sharma confirmed the release of these two farmers.
Similarly, in a separate operation, Maninderpal Singh, a resident of Harike Kalan, district Muktsar, has also been released from Nabha jail. His release orders have been issued by the court of SDM Lehragaga, as this farmer leader was arrested from the Dhabi Gujran border.
