Una, March 22: Vehicle movement on the section from 14/500 to 18/500 km on Jogipanga-Tanda-Talai-Lid Kot road will remain closed from March 23 to April 1. Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued orders in this regard under Section 115 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
He said that these orders have been issued for the quick and smooth operation of other construction works including the upgradation work of the road. The Deputy Commissioner said that due to being a single road, no alternative route has been made for traffic.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed the concerned officials to inform the public about the closure of the road and to install boards in advance to give information about the change of route.
