Gangster Goldy Dhillon's target killing gang busted

Patiala/Chandigarh, February 21- Patiala Police has busted a target killing module operated by foreign gangster Goldy Dhillon by arresting two operatives from Rajpura, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav.

The arrested persons have been identified as Malkit Singh alias Max, resident of village Rodala, Ajnala, Amritsar and Sandeep Singh alias Deep, resident of village Sampli, Fatehgarh Sahib.
Police teams have also recovered five pistols, including three .32 caliber, one .30 caliber and one .315 caliber country-made pistols, 15 cartridges and 1300 intoxicant pills from the possession of the arrested accused. Their black Honda Activa scooter (PB 23 AA 0795) has also been seized.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that preliminary investigation revealed that both the arrested accused were wanted in two criminal cases related to extortion and their handler Goldy Dhillon had tasked them to carry out targeted killings in Mohali and Rajpura. He further said that both the arrested accused have criminal history and several cases are registered against them under NDPS Act, Arms Act, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery, loot etc.
Sharing details of the operation in Patiala, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patiala Dr Nanak Singh said that the police teams of Special Cell Rajpura had received a specific information that two henchmen of gangster Goldy Dhillon were going to deliver narcotic pills to someone on Sirhind-Rajpura road, following which they were to carry out a targeted killing in Rajpura.
He informed that Special Cell Rajpura led by Inspector Harry Boparai acted swiftly and launched an operation based on intelligence inputs and succeeded in arresting both the accused with arms and narcotics. The SSP said that the arrested accused had targeted two prominent people who had received threatening calls from foreign gangsters. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
