Zirakpur, February 19, 2025: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal today reviewed the ongoing sewerage work on VIP Road, Zirakpur. On this occasion, he talked to the Resident Welfare Association and also heard the difficulties being faced by them.
ADC Dhaliwal informed that the work of replacing the old sewer line is going on on VIP Road, Zirakpur, as this line was unable to withstand the strong flow of sewer. He informed that 70 percent of this work being done by MC Zirakpur on behalf of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board has been completed.
He informed that during the review of the work today, the officials of the Sewerage Board were asked to complete the remaining work soon and after that the Municipal Corporation was asked to provide relief to the general public soon by getting the road repaired at this place.
He informed that earlier today, the officials of Nagar Parishad and Sewerage Board held a meeting with the Resident Welfare Associations and told them to dispose of the sewer of their societies between 11 pm and 7 am only, because during the day the water overflows due to high demand on the sewer line.
During the interaction with the Resident Welfare Associations, the Additional Deputy Commissioner assured them that the work of the sewer line will be completed by March 15 at any cost and after that they will not have to face any problem related to the drained water.
