Una, February 19- The Innovation Cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have selected 50 institutions in the country to conduct Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una has the honour of being included in these. The initiative was proposed by Divyansh Thakur, Associate Faculty Member, and Dr. Shivdatt Sharma, Assistant Professor, who showcased their vision to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in academia.
As a result of their efforts, IIIT Una has been granted funds by the Ministry to conduct the FDP. The programme aims to equip faculty members with the skills required to mentor young innovators and entrepreneurs.
Director, IIIT Una, Manish Gaur said that this achievement reflects IIIT Una’s commitment to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. The FDP will play a vital role in guiding faculty members to transform students' ideas into impactful ventures thereby contributing to India's growing entrepreneurship ecosystem.
He informed that as the only institute from Himachal Pradesh, we are proud to be selected to conduct this prestigious Faculty Development Programme. The FDP will not only enhance the skills of our faculty members but also empower them to train the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
We are grateful to the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE and are committed to make this initiative a success. He informed that preparations for the FDP sessions are underway, and IIIT Una is all set to provide a transformational learning experience for the participants.
