Kabaddi tournament organized in village Moila Wahidpur

Garhshankar, 17 February- Kabaddi tournament was organized in village Moila Wahidpur with the cooperation of village Sarpanch and Gram Panchayat. Sarpanch Jaswant Singh Khalsa said that this tournament is dedicated to the heartfelt memory of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji and Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Rangpur Wale, whose aim is to inspire children to live together, take care of their health and stay away from drugs. He told the children to move forward and bring glory to Punjab in sports.

On this occasion, special guest forest scientist and Director General Forests Government of India Dr. Ranjit Singh said that the Sarpanch of Moila Wahidpur has organized this Kabaddi tournament in the village with a noble effort. He said that through this tournament, young children trapped in drug addiction will also get education, due to which they will leave drugs and move towards sports.
Sarpanch Jaswant Singh Khalsa told that this Kabaddi tournament is being organized with the support of Ranjit Singh, Paramjit Singh, Gursurinder Singh, Pyara Singh, Karamjit Singh and NRI warriors. This tournament of 35 kg, 45 kg, All Open 55 kg and 70 kg is dedicated to the heartfelt memory of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji and Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji Rangpur Walia.
He told that today about 15 teams came here and very good fencing matches were also held. The winning team of 35 kg was given Rs 2500 and the losing team Rs 2000, the 45 kg team Rs 4000 and the losing team Rs 3000, the 55 kg team Rs 7000 and the losing team Rs 5000, similarly the 70 kg team was given Rs 10,000 and the losing team Rs 8000 and cups and shields were given separately for their honor.
He said that this tournament has been very enthusiastic and exciting. He said that NRIs Veer Pamma Bains, Aman UK, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Tirath Singh, Jaswant Singh, Karamveer Singh, Paramjit Singh Fauji, Aftab Mika Bains, Ranjit Singh, Bedi Shibu, Gursurinder Singh Bedi, Balwinder Kumar Budhu, Dalveer Singh, Makhan Singh, Makhan Singh Chauhan, Jagdish Disha Lambad, Biru Deol, Makhan Singh, Rocky Pehelwan, Indrajit, Gurvinder Singh and Jota Sangha were very helpful in organizing this tournament.
He said that they have served with great dedication, body, mind and money. He said that we are grateful to them from the bottom of our hearts, they have joined hands with us and supported us in organizing this tournament. He thanked the teams that came to participate in the tournament. He said that special arrangements were also made for tea, bread and medicine for the teams.
He said that special prizes were kept for the players who played well. He said that he is organizing this tournament for the first time so that children can be kept away from drugs. He said that as long as he remains the Sarpanch, this tournament will continue to be organised.
