Garhshankar- Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Tournament Committee Garhshankar is organizing the 22nd State Level Olympian Bhullewal Ratho Patron Tournament Committee in Olympian Babbar Akali Memorial Former MLA Contractor Surinder Singh Khalsa College's Olympian Jarnail Singh Football Stadium under the leadership of Tournament Committee. Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Tournament started with great pomp.
At the beginning of the tournament, the college students sang songs and after that Sant Charanjit Singh sang Bhajans. Shiromani Committee member Jassowal prayed for the start of the tournament. On this occasion, Patron Contractor Surinder Singh Bhullewal Ratho and President Mukhtiar Singh Happy Heer were present. The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of the committee by Shiromani Committee member Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai and Shiromani Committee member Charanjit Singh Jassowal who met the players.
This was done by releasing balloons in the air after identification. On this occasion, contractor Surinder Singh Bhullewal Rathan, Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai and Sant Charanjit Singh Jassowal praised the efforts of the tournament committee during their address. While praising them, they invited the youth to learn from the life of Olympian Jarnail Singh. College Principal Dr. Amandeep Heera welcomed the personalities and players participating in the tournament.
Committee Chairman Mukhtiar Singh Heer thanked the people who had come. He thanked the personalities. On this occasion, Kulwant Singh UK, President Kabaddi Federation UK and President Pandit Harbhajan Singh Club Mahalpur praised the organization of the tournament during their address. In the opening college category match of the tournament, Dashmesh Football Academy Sri Anandpur Sahib won in penalty shootout. In the second match of the club category, Football Academy Paldi was defeated by kicks by a margin of 6-5.
Football Club Phagwara defeated Namdhari Football Academy Bhaini Sahib by a margin of 4-0 goals. In the second club category match of the tournament, Canada Committee Patron Sucha Singh Mann Canada, Gurjeet Singh Mann Canada and Manjeet Singh Mann Canada started the match by introducing the players.
