Nawanshahr: District Magistrate Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Rajesh Dhiman in exercise of his powers under Section 163 of Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023 Carrying and displaying arms/weapons in any kind of marriage palace/resort, fair, religious place, procession, procession, wedding parties or other functions/public gatherings and educational institutions in District Nawanshahr has been strictly prohibited.
Apart from this, the ban will also apply to public display of weapons, display on social media. According to the District Magistrate, songs glorifying weapons or violence are also included in the scope of this ban/prohibition.
Apart from this, Senior Police Captain Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar will conduct random checking in different areas. An FIR will be registered and strict action will be taken against anyone giving hate speech against any community. This order will remain in force till 31 January 2025.
