Una, January 9- A public consultation meeting was held in Una on Thursday for the four-lane expansion of National Highway 503 (Amb to Jhalera) and National Highway 70 (New NH 03, Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur-Gagret-Amb-Nadaun). The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar.
Organised by the project implementing agency in collaboration with National Highways Authority of India, the meeting was attended by SDMs of the concerned sub-divisions, public representatives and other stakeholders.
During the meeting, the alignment proposal was discussed in detail. The stakeholders gave valuable suggestions, on which the Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the implementing agency to consider and prepare the final detailed project report. He said that the final detailed project report should be prepared keeping in mind all the aspects in advance, so that there is no problem in the process of land acquisition for the project in future.
SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, SDM Bangana Sonu Goyal, SDM Gagret Saumil Gautam, SDM Una Vishwamohan Dev Chauhan, various stakeholders, officials of National Highways Authority of India and representatives of the implementing agency were present in the meeting.
