
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain visits the district hospital
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 12: The newly appointed Civil Surgeon of the district, Dr. Sangeeta Jain, visited the local district hospital and inspected the health facilities and medical equipment being provided to the people in the hospital. The Civil Surgeon visited various wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients and also took their suggestions for the betterment of the hospital. He also inspected the cleanliness in the hospital and instructed the officials to keep the entire hospital more clean. He told the officials that although the patients are already getting all the medicines in the government hospitals. But still it should be ensured that no OPD or emergency patient or his family member accompanying him should order medicine from outside. And whatever shortcomings/problems there are, they should be removed immediately.
He said that no kind of laxity will be tolerated in providing facilities in government health institutions. He urged for more effective implementation of state and national health programs and schemes. He said that people should get the benefit of free health facilities in all circumstances and no kind of negligence should be done in this matter.
The Civil Surgeon said that the District Health Department is fully committed to ensuring good health of the district residents and providing high level facilities in government health institutions. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Bhagat and other officers were present on the occasion.
