Mohali, Jan 3: Dr. Sangeeta Jain took over as the new Civil Surgeon here today. She was accorded a warm welcome by the office staff. While taking over the charge, Dr. Jain said that she will put in her best efforts for the effective implementation of various national and state health programmes and schemes in the district.
She said that improving the functioning of government health institutions in the district and providing better and more effective health services to the people is her top priority. She asked the entire staff to perform their duties with full dedication and sincerity.
Dr. Jain is now working as Deputy Director in Punjab Health System Corporation. Prior to this, she worked as Senior Medical Officer in Sub-Divisional Hospital, Derabassi. She joined the Health Department as Medical Officer in 1993 and was promoted to the post of Senior Medical Officer in 2016.
On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu Singh, DFPO Dr. Tamanna, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, SMO Dr. HS Cheema, Personal Assistant to Civil Surgeon Dr. Vijay Bhagat, Davinder Singh and other officers and employees were present.
