Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 23, 2024: Assistant Commandant of Rapid Action Platoon 194 Prahlad Ram today during a meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Ashika Jain at the Administrative Complex, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar informed; that under the directions of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Kishore Kumar Commandant 194 Battalion, 2 teams of 30 personnel of 194 Battalion have reached SAS Nagar for a week-long familiarization exercise.
As part of this exercise; Smt. Ashika Jain, IAS, met Deputy Commissioner and Shri Harinder Singh Mann Superintendent of Police, Headquarters and discussed the exercise in detail.
The Assistant Commandant said that the purpose of this exercise is to get complete information about the district, to be familiar with the area, to coordinate with the local police and the general public so that in the future if the Rapid Action Force is called; or has to come, they can perform their duty on time and easily.
Accordingly, today the team practiced in Thana City, Kharar and Thana Sadar, Kharar and took out a flag march in the areas of Thana Sadar. During this exercise, Rapid Action Force personnel and local police personnel were present.
