Hoshiarpur- A mini function was organized at the District Language Office under the chairmanship of District Language Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai and former District Public Relations Officer Prof. Baldev Singh Balli to launch Dr. Manmohan Singh Tir’s children’s story collection ‘Good Job’. Welcoming the writers to the Language Department Office and congratulating Dr. Manmohan Singh Tir, Dr. Jaswant Rai said that Dr. Tir has done a great job on Pakistani Punjabi stories.
Dr. Tir, who has written more than half a dozen books so far, has also written travelogues and children’s literature with maturity. Dr. Tir, who has been associated with the teaching profession in schools and colleges for a long time, has not left out social concerns in his writing. The children’s literature written by him is based on child psychology. Talking about the handy book ‘Good Job’, Prof. Balli said that the stories in it speak to the child’s mind.
Children's heavy school bags, a lot of homework, a life devoid of play, a burdensome environment, lack of moral education are many reasons that hinder the development of a good personality in the child's mind. The fear of exams and the new experiences happening every day in the education system are also shaking the creative power of children. Dr. Tir, playing the role of an enlightened children's writer, has not only pointed out all these things in this book but has also linked them with the balanced development of children through his storytelling. This book is undoubtedly a book that will make a significant contribution to Punjabi literature, especially Punjabi children's literature. Head of National Information Center Pardeep Singh also congratulated Dr. Tir for the children's book. Rajbir Singh, Avtar Thakur, Lal Singh, Pushpa Rani and literature lovers were present at this time.
