In the monthly meeting of UT Ex-Teachers Association, former teachers were honored by presenting books.

Chandigarh- The monthly meeting of UT Ex-Teachers Association was held in the office of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh located in Sector-41 (Badheri) under the chairmanship of the organization's president Pandit Bahadur Singh Gussal, in which many retired teachers of UT participated.

In the meeting, Pandit Bahadur Singh Gussal first welcomed the teachers present and said that it is a matter of great joy that despite heavy rain, teachers attended the meeting. He told that due to lack of "Shikshak Grih" for teachers, today's meeting was held in the office of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh.
All the teachers unanimously passed the resolution that the Chandigarh Administration should immediately establish "Hind Di Chadar Shikshak Grih", so that the long-standing demand of the teachers can be fulfilled by paying true tribute to the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
Speaking in the meeting Madam Vikramjit Kaur said that due to absence of “Shikshak Griha” for the teachers, the former teachers have reached this office today sweating in heavy rain.
She said that despite repeated demands, the Chandigarh Administration has failed to construct “Shikshak Griha”. Other demands of the former teachers were also discussed in the meeting. On this occasion, President of the institution Prof. Bahadur Singh Gussal felicitated the former senior teachers by presenting them their books.
The felicitated former teachers included Dr. Gulzar Singh (Former Deputy Director of Education, UT), Madam Vikramjit Kaur, Mrs. Harbans Kaur, Mrs. Prem Lata, Mrs. Nirmal Saini. These felicitated teachers congratulated Prof. Gussal for publishing new books and thanked him for felicitating them at the office of Vishva Punjabi Prachar Sabha.
Besides these teachers, the teachers who could not reach on time due to rain and marked their attendance online included Prof. Jaswant Singh, Mr. Krishan Kumar Tejpal (former Guidance and Counselling Officer), Mrs. Bimla Kanta, Mr. Paramjit Singh Zirakpur, Mr. Bhupinder Bhagomajaria etc. were present. In the end, Administrative Secretary of the office Balwinder Singh thanked all the teachers for coming to the office.
