
Lawrence Public School organizes annual sports day

On the first day of the event, Dronacharya Awardee Shiv Singh was the chief guest, while on the second day, former Asian Basketball international player and Asian gold medalist in the Asian Netball Championship, Advocate Ankur Garma attended as the chief guest.

During this, the students showcased their sports talent in various track and field events, including sprints, relays, long jump, shot put, javelin throw, relay and other sports.
On this occasion, the children also demonstrated pom pom dance, ball dribble and many other exercises. Along with this, competitions like ball race, run pick, place race, bean bag balance and triple cycle race were also organized. They were the center of attraction for the audience.
In the final competitions held on this occasion, Ritesh Gupta won first place in the 100 meter race among boys, Kabir Garma won second place and Gurmoh Singh won third place. In the girls 100 meter race, Tejroop Kaur won first place, Jasmeet Kaur won second place and Sehajpreet Kaur won third place. In the 4x100 relay race, Kabir Garma and the team won first place, Ritesh Gupta won second place and John won third place.
In the three leg race, Satish and Taranjit won first place, Bobby Verma and Taran Grewal won second place and Subha and Abhishek won third place. In the javelin throw girls, Darspreet Kaur won first place, Jasmeet Kaur won second place and Manvika won third place. In the javelin throw boys, Udayvir Singh won first place, Agamjot Kaur won second place and Damandeep Kaur won third place.
In the girls long jump, Mankirat Singh won first, Parth won second and Yuvraj Singh won third. Congratulating the winners, the school principal Veena Malhotra said that sports are an important part of a student's life. If they pay attention to sports along with their studies, then the body remains healthy and they are also focused on their studies. Finally, prizes were distributed to the winners of all the sports.
