Mahilpur - Former minister in charge of Chabewal Vidhan Sabha and current MLA Rana Gurjit Singh, while claiming the Congress's glorious victory in the Chabewal by-election, said that despite being an agricultural area, it is sad that there are no agro industries here. The reason behind the poor performance of Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar is that there are no proper roads and no proper health facilities. 
Revealing this while talking to journalists, he said that of course Dr. Raj became an MLA twice from Congress but neither he could develop Chabewal during the Congress government nor Rana Gurjit from Bhagwant Mann government said that otherwise there would be by-elections in the constituency. There, the current government and the constituency in-charge change the face of the constituency by carrying out development works in the constituency. But alas, Dr. Rajkumar proved to be a failure on every front.
 Rana Gurjit said that the voters of Chabewal are very unhappy with the Aam Aadmi Party and they are in the mood to do a huge reverse after voting for the Congress party in the Chabewal by-election and winning it with a huge majority. Taking a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party government, he said that Bhagwant Mann turned out to be a liar and a puppet chief minister. The Chief Minister, working remotely from Delhi, gave a loan of billions of rupees to Punjab and the World Bank has also raised its hands.
 Now the schemes of running the government by selling the government lands have made the people of Punjab think. Rana Gurjit said that the people of Punjab are feeling cheated and are regretting giving a chance to the Aam Aadmi Party.
On this occasion, Congress candidate Ranjit Kumar Kitti, former Sarpanch Sodhi Badyal, Pappu Ajram, Baldev Singh Fuglana etc. were present along with them.
