Haryana Government's big decision in favor of women.

Chandigarh, August 28 - In the cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has decided to implement the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana for the social security and respect of women, fulfilling another promise of its Sankalp Patra. This scheme will be launched on the upcoming birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on 25 September 2025. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2100 will be provided to eligible women every month.

Chandigarh, August 28 - In the cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has decided to implement the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana for the social security and respect of women, fulfilling another promise of its Sankalp Patra. This scheme will be launched on the upcoming birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on 25 September 2025. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2100 will be provided to eligible women every month.
Under the scheme, all women aged 23 years or above on 25 September 2025 will get benefit. In the first phase, families whose annual income is less than Rs. 1 lakh have been included under the scheme. In the coming time, other income groups will also be included in this scheme in a phased manner.
To avail the benefit of the scheme, the unmarried applicant or the husband of a married applicant must have been a resident of Haryana for the last 15 years. There will be no restriction on the number of women in a family under the scheme. If there are 3 eligible women in a family, then those three women will get the benefit. 9 such schemes already being run by the government-Budhapa Awastha Samman Bhatta Yojana, Financial Assistance to Widows and Destitute Women, Haryana Divyang Pension Yojana, Ladvi Social Security Allowance, Financial Assistance to Kashmiri Displaced Families, Allowance for Dwarfs, Financial Assistance to Acid Attack Victims and Girls, Financial Assistance to Widows and Unmarried Women, Haryana Gaurav Samman Bhatta for Padma Awardees, in which the applicants are already getting the benefit of a higher amount of pension, they will not get the benefit of Deen Dayal Laddo Laxmi Yojana.
The cabinet decided that stage 3 and 4 cancer patients, 54 listed rare diseases and applicants suffering from hemophilia, thalassemia and sickle cell are getting the benefit of pension. They will also get the additional benefit of Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana. The day an unmarried beneficiary completes the age of 45 years, she will automatically become eligible for the financial assistance scheme for widows and destitute women. Similarly, as soon as the beneficiary woman reaches the age of 60 years, she will automatically become eligible for the old age honor allowance pension scheme. About 20 lakh women will get the benefit in the first phase of this scheme. In the coming days, along with the gazette notification of the scheme, an app will also be launched on which eligible women will register. Every potentially eligible woman will also get an SMS that she is eligible for this scheme and should register on the app. The list of all eligible women will be published in all the Panchayats and wards. All the Gram Sabhas and Ward Sabhas will have the right to register any objection on the list.
