Patiala, November 5 - Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav today visited village Daun Kalan Rasulpur, Dharedi Jatt and Bhateri and took stock of stubble management here. He saw the machines used for proper management of stubble in the fields of these villages like surface seeder, super seeder and rake machines and praised the farmers for managing stubble with them.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the farmers to unite and come forward to make Patiala district free from stubble burning. He said that in order to prevent stubble burning in the district, 175 balers, 4100 super seeders, 425 happy seeders, 400 mulchers and also 7000 machines including ex situ management balers, rakes etc. are available for the farmers. He said that all CRM machinery is working on one platform for stubble management.
He said that the district administration is providing free machinery to the small and marginal farmers through the societies. On this occasion, Agriculture Officer Ravinder Pal Singh Chatha, Secretary of Daun Kalan Cooperative Society Darshan Singh and farmers were also present with him.
