Nabha Power Limited organized a Kabaddi tournament at village Sadhror Majri

Rajpura, 26/10/24 - Under Mission Rangla Punjab, Nabha Power Limited, under the patronage of Plant Head Suresh Kumar Narang, organized Kabaddi and Tug of War competitions to connect the youth with sports in collaboration with the newly elected Panchayats of Village Sadhror Majri and Sadhror.

Rajpura, 26/10/24 - Under Mission Rangla Punjab, Nabha Power Limited, under the patronage of Plant Head Suresh Kumar Narang, organized Kabaddi and Tug of War competitions to connect the youth with sports in collaboration with the newly elected Panchayats of Village Sadhror Majri and Sadhror. Apart from Kabaddi and Wrestling teams of 49 villages under Nabha Power Limited Thermal Plant Rajpura, 60 Open Kabaddi boys and girls Kabaddi teams from various districts of Punjab participated.
10 Kabaddi teams, especially girls, also participated in this tournament. On this occasion, Plant Head of Nabha Power Limited, Mr. Naresh Narang said that only sports can build a healthy society and drug-free youth are the pride of these games. He said that Nabha Power Limited is contributing to many social works in the villages and mainly Kabaddi tournaments, marathons, cycle rallies are being organized to make the youth aware against drug addiction. He said that the youth should take more interest in sports so that their body remains healthy, they can stay away from drugs and the youth can contribute in stopping the sixth river of drugs flowing in Punjab.
On this occasion, under the anti-drug campaign being run by Nabha Power Limited, people were motivated to stay away from drugs and awareness pamphlets and booklets were distributed to all the spectators who came to watch the tournament. During the sports competitions, Sample Sahib (Mohali) secured first place and Chatthewala (Bathinda) secured second place in Kabaddi Open (Boys). Similarly, Ranta Kabaddi Club (Moga) secured first place and Jagatpur Kabaddi Club (Jalandhar) secured second place in Kabaddi Open (Girls) competition.
In the competition of 49 villages falling under the purview of the thermal plant, Chak Khurd secured first place and Bhagrana secured second place. While Rangiya secured first place in the race and Sadhror village secured second place. The winning teams were honored with cash prizes and trophies.
