Last day till October 21, panchayats of 58 villages have met the constituency MLA and assured that they will develop their villages by working honestly while guarding the thinking of the constituency MLA. Today i.e. on 22nd October, Sarpanch and Panch of the Panchayats elected by the people of 4 villages Shyampur, Gigemajra, Gobindgarh and Dhelpur met the Constituency MLA and thanked the government especially the Constituency MLA for conducting the elections peacefully and without any discrimination and assured them. He assured that they will develop their villages with honesty and transparency following the line of their thinking.
Constituency MLA Kulwant Singh congratulated the winning candidates and also thanked all voters and common citizens for maintaining peace in the villages. S. Kulwant Singh urged the large number of sarpanches and panches who reached his office after the election results to give priority to the development of their villages.
He said that the sarpanch does not belong to any one party but he is the sarpanch of the entire village. Therefore, the development of the village should be done without any discrimination, irrespective of which party it belongs to, and the money should be used only for those works which are necessary to be done in the public interest, so that along with the development, the mutual community also should be strong and attention should be given to providing maximum basic facilities to the villagers.
S. Kulwant Singh assured the newly elected panchayats that grants will be given with open heart for the all-round development of the villages and the ongoing works will be completed on time and estimates for new works will be prepared to raise necessary funds. A report will be sent to the government.

Harmesh Singh Kumbra, s. Akbinder Singh Gosal, s. RP Sharma, S. Avtar Singh Mauli Baidwan, s. Tarlochan Singh and other eminent personalities were present.
