MLA Kulwant Singh honored the newly elected panchayats in the villages of Mohali on the second day as well

Mohali: In the general Panchayat elections held across Punjab on 15th October 2024, a large number of elected Panchayats (Sarpanchs and Panchs) are reaching to meet the constituency MLA Sardar Kulwant Singh after the peaceful conduct of elections in the villages falling under the Assembly constituency SAS Nagar.

Yesterday on 16th October, Panchayats of 17 villages met the constituency MLA and today Sarpanches and Panchs of Panchayats in 18 villages Kandala, Saneta, Lakhnaur, Raipur, Ballo Mazra, Badmajra, Tangori, Kambala, Green Enclave, Chaparchidi Khurd, Bhagomajra, Manakpur Kallar, Safipur, Chachu Mazra, Dhurali, Nanu Mazra, Sekhan Mazra and Maujpur met the MLA of the constituency and thanked the Government especially the MLA of the constituency for conducting the elections peacefully and without any discrimination. On this occasion, the MLA said that out of 73 villages falling under SAS Nagar constituency, elections were held in 70 villages. Out of which 11 Panchayats have been elected unanimously, Sarpanchs have been elected unanimously in 4 villages and out of 471 Panchs, 191 Panchs have been elected unanimously. Out of 70 Panchayats elected by consensus and votes, 63 Panchayats follow the ideology and policies of Aam Aadmi Party.
MLA Sardar Kulwant Singh congratulated the winning candidates and also thanked all the voters and common citizens for maintaining peace in the villages. Sardar Kulwant Singh urged the large number of Sarpanchs and Panchs who reached his office for the second consecutive day after the election results to give priority to the development of their villages.
He said that the Sarpanch does not belong to any one party but he is the Sarpanch of the entire village. Therefore, the development of the village should be done without any discrimination, no matter which party he belongs to and the money should be used only in those works which are necessary to be done in public interest, so that development can also take place simultaneously. The mutual community should also be strengthened and attention should be paid to providing maximum basic facilities to the villagers.
Sardar Kulwant Singh assured the newly elected that grants will be given generously for the all-round development of the villages. And the ongoing works will be completed on time, while estimates for new works will be prepared and a report will be sent to the government to raise the necessary funds.
During this time Sardar Sarabjit Singh Nagar Councilor, Sardar Kuldeep Singh Samana, Dr. SS Bhanwra, Sardar Paramjit Singh, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Sardar Jaspal Singh, Sardar Harpal Singh Channa, Sardar Harmesh Singh Kumbra, Sardar Sukhminder Singh Barnala, Sardar Akbinder Singh Gosal, Sardar Avtar Singh Mauli Baidwan, Sardar RP Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
