WE DEMAND A FINE OF RS. 5 CRORES BE IMPOSED ON FAMOUS MALL

The repeated incidents endangering human life at Elante Mall didn't catch the attention of the authorities as it seems to be least bothered about these incidents. We care for you is a catchy slogan seen around the city but nobody is there to bother about the citizens who have suffered so far.

Such an apathy of those in power indirectly boost the courage of the errands as they know there won't be any action against them  from any quarters.
We, at the Second Innings Association, feel that public voices must be raised against such incidents so owners as well as authorities become sensitive to such incidents happening due to carelessness.
We may recall that in a recent incident a girl child and her family members were badly  injured in a famous Mall of Chandigarh as a stone piece of pillar fell on them.  By the grace of God no mishap taking the life has happened.  We have rightly said " the grace of God "  because humans have failed to protect public life when incidents where a child was killed happened  3 months ago in the same Mall.  It is a shame that concerned persons have not been held and made responsible and o strict action or penalty was imposed on the famous Mall.  Had it happened to another city of the world  then an exemplary fine of at least Rs. 50 or more crores could have been imposed on the owner or such entity closed for future.  But in Chandigarh  nothing will happen because powers that be are put under tremendous pressure due to the prevailing corrupt practices. As such keeping in view the above and to set an example for such incidents in future  we demand a fine of at least Rs 5 Crores from the mall owners and legal action as per law in a special fast tarck court.
Important to note that this is not the first incident of this kind.  Earlier a few days back a young man died under an electrical installation and no action taken so far.  In the past a girl child died under a tree and another girl child lost her arm and another lady was seriously injured but no action was taken.  It is very common practice with the administration to issue orders to harass the public with super sonic speed but whenever the measures for welfare of the public are concerned no action is taken and issues continue to pile up.
We against demand a fine of at least Rs. 5 crore on the said famous mall and strict action against all such defaulters of past as well , as everybody cannot go or expect to approach  courts on the issues which can very well be tackled by the competent authorities
