SAS Nagar, June 30- A delegation of Residents Welfare Association Sector 67 (Regd.), SAS Nagar, Mohali, led by its President Narinder Singh Kalsi, met the General Manager of Verka Milk Plant, Phase 6 and submitted a memorandum requesting that the Verka booth situated on the side of Nagar Nigam Chowk Sector 67 be shifted to an alternate location.
The delegation informed the General Manager that a letter has already been written to the senior officers of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (JIMADA) regarding the above mentioned subject to shift the Verka booth situated on the side of slip road of MC Chowk, Sector 67 a little towards the parking and to keep the entrance of the booth towards the parking. For this purpose, the Sub Divisional Officer of JIMADA had sent the sanctioned drawing of the site and also requested that this Verka booth be shifted to the new location immediately.
The leaders of the delegation informed that demand letters have been given by the Municipal Councillor of Sector-67, President and General Secretary of Residents Welfare Association Sector 67 to shift this Verka booth, but despite repeated writings, the booth was not shifted by Verka. They told the General Manager that accidents are happening daily due to this booth installed right on the corner of this sharp blind turn.
The delegation demanded that the process of shifting this milk booth should be implemented immediately so that people can get relief from the problems being faced.
On this occasion, General Secretary of the Association Satish Kumar Bugga, Senior Vice President Kuldeep Singh Saini, Vice President Jagmal Singh Chhina, Vice President Dr. Harpreet Singh, Treasurer Gopal Krishna Gupta, Press Secretary Gurpal Singh, Joint Secretary Mastan Singh Panesar, Advisor Karam Singh Sarwara, Publicity Secretary Vasudev Anand and social worker Balveer Singh were present.
