2015 batch IAS officer Ashika Jain took over as Deputy Commissioner in Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur, February 25: 2015 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre Ashika Jain took over as Deputy Commissioner at the local District Administrative Complex today and said that priority will be given to further accelerating the pace of development works in the district, making people aware against drug addiction and providing civil services in a better and timely manner.

On reaching the District Administrative Complex, IAS officer Ashika Jain was given a guard of honour by a contingent of police and senior officers welcomed her by presenting a bouquet of flowers. After assuming charge, she held a meeting with SSP, Additional Deputy Commissioner, SDM and other officers and got information about various development projects and important issues related to the district.
She said that essential services should be provided to the people in government offices in a timely manner at all times and matters related to the people should be given full priority. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the performance of government offices would be reviewed from time to time, so that people can get information about the services being provided. He said that indiscipline and corrupt activities would not be tolerated at any cost.
It is noteworthy that Ashika Jain was earlier the Deputy Commissioner of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. Ashika Jain was Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar in 2018, SAS in 2019. She has served as Additional Deputy Commissioner in the city, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur in 2021 and Additional Deputy Commissioner in Jalandhar in 2022.
