Garhshankar, October 15: The questions raised by the Democratic Teachers Front Punjab regarding the Aam Aadmi Party government's dream project 'School of Eminence' as a discriminatory education model have started emerging as a bitter truth step by step, under which the Punjab government will close these 117 schools. to make the scheme successful, preparations are being made to replace the remaining 19,000 government schools in place of new recruitments.
Regarding the forced transfer of teachers in the School of Eminence, State President of Democratic Teachers Front Punjab, Vikram Dev Singh, State General Secretary Mukesh Kumar and State Finance Secretary Ashwani Awasthi said that first two types of uniforms were given to one school and grants were issued to the remaining schools. After discriminating against them, now an order has been issued to forcibly transfer 162 teachers of the state to "Schools of Eminence", ignoring the education of students studying in other schools.
DTAF District President Sukhdev Dancewal, District Secretary Inder Sukhdeep Oda, Manjeet Singh Dasuha, Ashwani Kumar, Baljeet Singh, Manjeet Singh Baba, Harinder Singh, Ajay Kumar, Karnail Singh, Manjeet Singh Banga said that government schools are facing shortage of teachers. Instead of recruiting new teachers, claims are being made to increase the standard of education by shifting teachers from one place to another in 'School of Eminence'. Under this series, Raminder Kumar ACTS in district Hoshiarpur. Middle School Chak Guru and Mathematics Lecturer Rajwinder Kaur from SSS Mahilpur to School of Eminence Garhshankar, Inderjir Kaur ACT Middle School Muradpur Guruka and Shravan Kumar English Lecturer Middle School Datarpur to School of Eminence Baghpur, Tejinder Singh ACT Middle School Ghorwaha to School of Eminence Tanda. And Devina Singh Lecturer Hisab forcibly shifting Talwara to Sector 3 School of Eminence and forcibly transferring 162 teachers from across the state miles away from their residences is unjust when the reality is that there is already an acute shortage of teachers in general schools. And students' education is lagging behind.
In such a situation, teachers are feeling mentally exploited and financially exploited.
He said that the objections raised by the group to the School of Eminence have now started coming to the fore in the hands of the teaching staff.
During these forced transfers across Punjab, the problems of disabled teachers were not taken into account nor were retired teachers refrained from being transferred from their stations within a year. In continuation of the previous government's policy of destroying middle schools by the present government, the C&V cadre from middle schools has been depleted due to transfer of arts and crafts teachers from these schools.
The leaders demanded that in order to provide equal education to the students studying in all schools, these changes should be immediately canceled and the process of filling the huge number of vacant posts in schools across Punjab should be started with immediate effect. If these demands are not resolved soon by the state government and the education department, then the organization will have to declare a fierce struggle in the future, the entire responsibility of which will be on the state government.
