Hoshiarpur 28 February- Balbir Singh Palli Jhikki, a renowned football player, coach, football promoter and social worker of Nawanshahr district, who has given excellent services in the country and abroad, was specially honored on the occasion of the I-League matches being played at Mahilpur's Coach Ali Hasan Stadium. He had come from America especially for these matches.
While honoring him on this occasion, Minerva Club owner Ranjit Bajaj, Mrs. Heena Bajaj and Kulwant Singh Sangha said that we salute the contribution of Balbir Singh. On this occasion, Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club President Kulwant Singh Sangha, SP Shivinderjit Singh Bains, Principal Dr. Parwinder Singh and Roshanjit Singh Panam highlighted the achievements of his life and said that we all should take inspiration from his life and contribute to the development of the deprived section of the society.
Balbir Singh said in his address that those who consider work as worship touch the heights of success in life. Therefore, according to the teachings of Baba Nanak, we all should become workers and fulfill our respective responsibilities honestly. On this occasion, the stadium full of spectators welcomed his work with applause.
Baljinder Mann, while conducting the stage, said that we all should contribute to social work. On this occasion, Pt. Jagmohan Singh, Tarlochan Singh Sandhu, Daljit Singh Bains, Sewak Singh Bains, Paramjit Singh Bains, Tanveer Mann, Principal Guru Das, Sarpanch Pritpal Kaur, Sat Prakash Singh Sangha Canadian, Jamsher Singh Tambar etc. were also present.
