Garhshankar - Assistant Returning Officer-cum-SDM Garhshankar Shiv Raj Singh Ball at Vidhan Sabha Constituency 45-Gahshankar today held a meeting with the BLOs with the highest and lowest voting percentage of the Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Meanwhile, he discussed with the BLOs about increasing the vote percentage in the Lok Sabha elections.
  He said that the Election Commission of India should leave no stone unturned in meeting the target of more than 70 percent voting and encourage eligible voters to vote.
Meanwhile, the SDM asked all the BLOs to work diligently in the campaign launched by Lok Sabha Constituency Anandpur Sahib Dr. Hira Lal regarding green elections and to plant maximum number of saplings and conduct various activities. He said that less use of single use plastic should be ensured in the voting process and political parties/candidates should also be encouraged not to use single use plastic.
