Hoshiarpur-World Bicycle Day is celebrated all over the world on June 3 to promote cycling, so that the environment can be saved from pollution and cycling can be done for physical fitness.
Today, under the leadership of International Cyclist Balraj Singh Chauhan, Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, a cycle rally was taken out in the city to make people aware about health, in which the message of "Cycle Chalao Bimari Bhagao, Cycle Chalao Pollution Mitao" was given.
Children and youth participated in this rally in large numbers. Speaking on the occasion, Chauhan appealed to mobilize against drug addiction and asked people to cycle for one hour daily to keep their health healthy.
He also appealed to the Central and Punjab Government to make separate lanes for highways and bicycles on the lines of foreign countries. During this, cyclist Munir Nazar and runner Yogesh Chander praised the achievements of Balraj Chauhan in cycling and said that he is a source of inspiration for the youth.
