Una, May 18 - Head Boy and Head Girl were selected in Dashmesh Public School Gurpalah Sahib, Tehsil Haroli, to familiarize the school students about the 'Election Process'. Along with this, the social education teachers of the school informed the students about the process of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
A school spokesperson said that two boys of class 10, Ansh Thakur, Prabhdeep Singh and two girls, Niharika Yadav and Priya, were selected for the head boy and head girl elections. Through speeches in the school he shared his ideas with the rest of the school students about his election symbols and the work he was doing towards the school.
After this, the students cast their vote in the ballot box by stamping the election symbol on the ballot paper to select their candidate. In the polling team formed, Madam Ranjita Kumari, Madam Gurjot Kaur, Madam Manju Bala, Darshan Singh Sir played their roles very well. During this period, enthusiasm for the elections was seen among the students and the entire election work was completed very well. After the voting was over, the ballot box was sealed and handed over to the school principal, Mrs. Dalwinder Kaur. In the presence of Principal Mrs. Dalvinder Kaur, the votes were counted and finally the results of the election were declared. In the election results, among the boys, Ansh Thakur was victorious over Prabhdeep Singh and among the girls, Priya was victorious over Niharika Yadav.
Thus, Head Boy Mr. Ansh Thakur and Head Girl Miss Priya were selected in the school.
