Nawanshahr:- National Blood Donation Day (October 1) is being celebrated like every year at the BDC Blood Center of the local social service organization Blood Donors Council, dedicated to day and night blood donation service. In this regard, a meeting of the organization was held under the chairmanship of President SK Sarin. 
In the meeting, it was shared that the organization is successfully contributing to the national mega blood donation fortnight running from September 17 to October 2. Meanwhile, National Blood Donation Day is to be celebrated on October 1. 
On this day, a voluntary blood donation camp and free blood grouping camp will be organized, free medicine will be given in cases of blood deficiency. SK Sarin, GS Toor, JS Gidda, Parvesh Kumar, Anju Sarin, Dr. Ajay Bagga, Noble Sarin, Yuvraj Kalhiya and Manager Manmeet Singh were present in the meeting. 
It was decided in the meeting that on the occasion of National Blood Donation Day, mementos will be presented to the voluntary blood donors. After the meeting, NRI Ashok Sogi was honored for his support in blood donation service.
