Una, September 28—The Himachal Academy of Arts, Culture, and Languages, Shimla, organized a grand state-level writers' symposium and poetry conference at the Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra, Una, on Sunday to commemorate Acharya Diwakar Dutt Sharma's birth anniversary.
Chief guest Acharya Dr. Mastram Sharma, in his address, stated that the Sanskrit language is the soul of Indian culture. Acharya Diwakar Dutt Sharma's contribution to the preservation and promotion of this language is unforgettable, and we all should pledge to respect and promote it.
The special guest was Acharya Jagat Prasad Shastri. Dr. Madan Mohan Sharma presided over the first session. In this session, Acharya Shyam Lal Sharma presented a research paper on "The Personality and Works of Acharya Diwakar Dutt Sharma," and Dr. Mukesh Sharma presented a research paper on "The Guru-Shishya Tradition and Contribution to Sanskrit Preservation."
In the program, scholars including Acharya Jagat Prasad Shastri, Nachdhar Dwivedi, Dr. Rajkumar, Omdutt Saroch, Dr. Sita Ram, Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, Dr. Madan Mohan Arya and Prabhat Sharma expressed their views on the life of Acharya Diwakar Dutt Sharma and the preservation of Sanskrit. The session was conducted by Dr. Kuldeep Sharma. During this, Dr. Mastram Sharma released the book “Pahadon Ki Chaon Mein” by litterateur Ramesh Chandra Mastana.
In the second session, a poetry conference was organized, which was presided over by Omdutt Saroch. Poets including Om Kumar Sharma, Kumar Sharma, Krisha Ladakhi, Himanshu Sharma, Vats Desh Raj, Dr. Raman Sharma, Dr. Rajnikant, Dr. Yogesh Chandra Sood, Om Prakash Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Ashok Kalia, Rampal, Alka Chawla, Indu Parashar, Omkar Prasad, Jyoti Prasad, Dr. Ratna Chand Ratnakar, Naresh Malotia, Dr. Balkrishna Soni, Dr. Lekh Ram Sharma, Ramlal Pathak, Ratna Chand Nirjhar, Ramesh Chandra Mastana, Rajpal Verma, Dr. Baldev Chand Sharma, Ravindra Chandel Kamal, Suram Singh, and others recited poetry in this session. Academy Council member Dr. Rajkumar expressed his gratitude to all the scholars and litterateurs. Academy Assistant Secretary Dr. Shyama Verma, Research Officer Swatantra Kaushal, Rakesh Kumar, Ravi Kumar, and Madan Singh were also present on this occasion.
