Pataran/Patiala, October 26 - Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Isha Singal today held a meeting with the staff posted in Pataran sub-division and directed that the staff posted in the field should work with their full capacity to manage stubble. So that immediate action can be taken regarding incidents of stubble fire, including timely availability of machinery to the farmers. On this occasion, SDM Ashok Kumar and SP. Jasveer Singh was also present.
Isha Singla said that the harvest is going on fast in Patiala district and the farmers have to prepare the fields for the next crop, so the staff farmers are deployed in the villages to provide machinery like baler, super seeder and surface seeder to the farmers on time. Maintained constant contact with and ensured the availability of machinery by coordinating with the concerned department.
On this occasion, he visited various villages of Patiala district and interacted with the farmers regarding in situ and ex situ techniques. He said that machinery for stubble management is available in Patiala district and farmers can use the 'Unnat Kisan' app for booking machinery. He also went to the fields of the farmers who did not burn the stubble and encouraged them.
