Una, May 15- Quarterly meeting of District Sainik Welfare Board was held in his office on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal. Various issues related to services and facilities of ex-servicemen and their dependents were discussed in detail in the meeting and appropriate guidelines were given for their speedy resolution.
During this, issues like parking arrangement in Sainik Welfare Board Bhawan premises, deployment of guards, availability of essential material and supply of land for Sainik Welfare League were discussed. Deputy Commissioner directed the officers that all these issues will be resolved on priority basis. Apart from this, ex-servicemen also demanded to fix auto rickshaw fare for commuting from Old Hoshiarpur Road to Sainik Canteen Una.
Deputy Commissioner reiterated his commitment towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and said that they are respectable for us and improving their service and facilities is the priority of the administration.
During this meeting, Deputy Director of District Sainik Welfare Department, Lt. Colonel (Retd.) S.K. Kalia, Joint Director Industries Anshul Dhiman, District Revenue Officer Ajay Kumar, President of Ex-Servicemen League, Colonel Darshan Singh, Colonel Joginder Pal, Commander Kalidas, Colonel Parashar and Manager Akash Canteen Commander Vijay were present among others.
