SAS Nagar, July 5- Mohali Police arrested a motorcycle thief and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession. Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal said that Rajesh, resident of Amb Sahib Colony, Jagatpura had complained that his motorcycle number PB 65X 8320 has been stolen by some unknown person.
In this regard, police registered a case under section 303(2) of BNS.
He said that under the campaign being run by Mohali Police against anti-social elements on the instructions of SSP Mohali Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans, Head Constable Amandeep Kaur along with police party arrested Nitish, resident of Sector 56 Chandigarh during a blockade in Phase-9 Mohali and recovered the said motorcycle from his possession.
He said that during the investigation Nitish admitted that he had committed this theft in connivance with Manjeet of Sector 56, Chandigarh, after which the police arrested Manjeet as well. He said that the police has taken the remand of both of them and the investigation of the case is going on.
