
Literary writer Surjit Mannahani honored at literary meet
Mahilpur- Sur Sangam Educational Trust organized a literary meet with the prominent writer of Mahilpur area Surjit Singh Mannahani at Karumbalan Bhawan under the leadership of Principal Manjit Kaur. On this occasion, he shed light on his literary journey and said that after being born in the historical village of Mannahana, he studied science and chose teaching as a profession and followed the path of creating literature.

Till date, four of his books have been published, out of which three are mini story collections Maa Di Good, Digde Atharu, Diwe Tatha Chanan and Sirnawan Poetry Book. He was specially honored by the trust for these wonderful achievements. Speaking about his personality and creation, Baljinder Mann said that while he is a successful teacher, he is also an honored creator of literature.
He has full respect and honor in the hearts of students, teachers and parents. His books are often discussed in literary circles. He is a prominent creator of mini stories and a social reformer. The main purpose of his creation is to make the society healthy and prosperous. He is always active in protecting the blessings of nature.
State Awardee Teacher Jagdish Singh, book lover Chanchal Singh Bains, children's literature writer Raghuveer Singh Kaloya and retired education officer Bagga Singh Artist, who are included in the presidium, said that while the trust is encouraging the creators of children's literature.
At the same time, the guides who provide new lines to the area are also honored. Nikkian Karumbalan Prakashan gave sets of books to all the literature lovers present for the flourishing of book culture. While conducting the stage, Sukhman Singh expressed his artistic inclinations beautifully.
Literature lovers including Pawan Skruli, Manjinder Heer, Harveer Mann, Harmanpreet Kaur, Nidhi Aman Sahota participated in this literary meet. Thanking everyone, Kuldeep Kaur Bains said that we should all become book lovers so that the melody of Shabad keeps playing within us.
