
Himachal Pradesh: Over 600 roads still closed; Orange alert for five districts
Shimla:- Damage due to heavy rains continues in Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, 601 roads including three national highways are still closed and about 500 transformers have been damaged across the state.

According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, about 201 roads in Mandi, 174 including NH 03 and NH 305 in Kullu, 57 in Shimla, 46 in Kangra, 29 in Chamba, 21 in Sirmaur, 21 including NH 503A in Una, 18 in Bilaspur, 17 in Solan, 13 in Hamirpur and four roads in Kinnaur district are closed.
In addition, power supply has been disrupted in many areas due to damage to 500 transformers.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur districts, which is likely to receive heavy rain in isolated areas of these districts. A yellow alert has been issued for Shimla, Kullu, Solan, Chamba and Sirmaur districts for today.
