
Deputy Commissioner reviews ongoing works on Burj Tehal Das Dam.
Nawanshahr/Rahon- Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh today while reviewing the current status of the dam of the Sutlej River at Burj Tehal Das said that with the cooperation of the people, the work of strengthening the dam is going on on a war footing and the situation is under control. Giving information about the current status of the dam, Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh said that at present the water level is going up and down but the situation in the district is completely under control.

Giving information about the current status of the dam, Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh said that at present the water level is going up and down but the situation in the district is completely under control.
He said that due to the continuous rain and the water coming after it, there was a slight situation on the dam yesterday, which was controlled by the administration and the Indian Army team with the cooperation of the people of the area and the work of strengthening the dam is continuously going on.
Talking to the villagers in the presence of the Indian Army team, he said that wherever the need arises, the district administration is continuously working for the strengthening of the dam. Praising the residents of those villages, he said that people are making great efforts to keep the embankment strong at various places in the district, due to which the situation is under control.
The Deputy Commissioner said that similarly, work is going on continuously at other places like Bela Tajowal, Dhangarpur, Tajewal-Mandala, Talwandi Shibu and Pandarwal under the supervision of the administration and the Indian Army. Ankurjit Singh said that the district administration is providing tarpaulins etc., in addition to diesel for tractors, JCB machines etc., wherever required, so that the entire work continues smoothly.
He appealed to the people to be aware of rumors and stay informed about the information of the administration. He said that the administration is keeping a close watch on the condition of the embankment at various places and teams have been deployed under the leadership of senior officers for this work. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Verma, SDM Anamjyot Kaur, an army team and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
