
Two accused of stealing gold ornaments arrested from Haryana, stolen ornaments worth lakhs recovered
SAS Nagar, December 17: CIA staff Mohali has arrested two accused who committed theft incidents. The arrested accused have been identified as Mukesh Kumar alias Nokha, resident of Kaithal, Haryana, and Surajbhan, resident of Kaithal, Haryana. In this regard, DSP Talwinder Singh said that on the identification of the two accused, 3 gold chains with lockets; one gold locket with pearl chain; one gold chain without locket; 2 gold tops; 7 gold ladies rings; one pair of gold earrings; 2 gold lockets and a 17 tola gold chain have been recovered.

In this regard, DSP Talwinder Singh said that on the identification of the two accused, 3 gold chains with lockets; one gold locket with pearl chain; one gold chain without locket; 2 gold tops; 7 gold ladies rings; one pair of gold earrings; 2 gold lockets and a 17 tola gold chain have been recovered.
The DSP said that a team was formed under the leadership of CIA incharge Harminder Singh to arrest the two accused. And the police team has arrested both the accused from Haryana. He said that during the initial interrogation, the two accused have revealed to the police that they are brothers and have been committing thefts since 2007. There are about a dozen theft cases registered against both the accused in various police stations of Patiala, other districts of Punjab and Haryana. DSP Talwinder Singh said that on August 16, 2024, Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Kharar, had given a complaint to the police. That he had gone to Jalandhar with his family on August 15. When he returned home on August 16, he saw that the lock of the house door was broken and all the belongings of the house were scattered. When he checked the cupboards of the house, diamond and gold ornaments were missing. The police had registered a case against unknown persons in this case in Police Station City Kharar under Sections 305 (A), 331 (4) of the BNS Act.
