
Action will be taken against defaulters if dengue larvae are found - Jyoti Bala Mattu.
Hoshiarpur- Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jyoti Bala Mattu informed that the Municipal Corporation is committed to providing basic facilities such as drinking water, roads, street lights and sewage services to the general public, according to which the risk of spreading vector-borne diseases like dengue, malaria etc. in the city remains constant during the rainy season.
Hoshiarpur- Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jyoti Bala Mattu informed that the Municipal Corporation is committed to providing basic facilities such as drinking water, roads, street lights and sewage services to the general public, according to which the risk of spreading vector-borne diseases like dengue, malaria etc. in the city remains constant during the rainy season.
To prevent this, a team has been jointly formed by the Municipal Corporation and the Civil Surgeon in the city, which visits different areas of the city daily and jointly checks dengue larvae in houses/shops etc. and if dengue larvae are found anywhere, it is destroyed on the spot using medicine and action is taken against the concerned person on the spot and challans are issued.
Keeping in mind the rainy season, the Commissioner Municipal Corporation appealed to all the city residents not to allow water to stagnate in their houses, in coolers, pots, roofs and anywhere around, which can spread diseases like dengue, malaria etc. and cause any loss of life and property.
If the said team gets news of such persons at any place, then the team will destroy the larvae on the spot and issue a challan to the concerned person. Apart from this, the Commissioner Municipal Corporation appealed to the city residents to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation in keeping their city clean and tidy.
