
Youth generation to protect heritage in Haryana, Tourism Department to run campaign.

Chandigarh, September 9 - Haryana Cooperation, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that during the Seva Pakhwada being celebrated at the national level from the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the birthday of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the state's Heritage and Tourism Department will run a campaign to protect heritage and under a special action plan, the youth, especially school and college students, will be connected with history by taking them on tours. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will start the campaign from the heritage city of Narnaul on September 18.
On Tuesday, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma chaired a meeting of the Heritage and Tourism Department on the occasion of the Seva Pakhwada campaign in the committee room located on the fifth floor of the Haryana Civil Secretariat. He finalized the preparations for the program to be organized in the proposed Sewa Pakhwada Abhiyan from September 17 to October 2 across the state.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, the days were fixed for various departments under this campaign. In this series, half a dozen programs will be organized on September 18 under the Heritage Protection Campaign.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will start this program from the heritage monuments in Narnaul, famous for its bawdas, tombs and palaces. Along with him, ministers and MLAs of the state government will participate in programs at 75 historical places, where school and college students will be connected with history by taking them on a tour of historical places.
Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that the series of programs to be organized during Seva Pakhwada will focus on cleanliness drive in 33 historical heritages, monuments, temples, mosques, gurudwaras, lakes, parks and tourist places. He said that instructions have been given to appoint nodal officers to establish coordination with the administration, departments and central ministries.
Principal Secretary of the Department of Heritage and Tourism Kala Ramachandran said that the department has made full preparations to reach out to maximum citizens and increase their participation during Seva Pakhwada.
