Mumbai:- Mumbai Police has issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra in connection with a Rs 60 crore fraud case. An official said that the LOC was issued by the Economic Offences Wing as the couple often travels internationally.
He said that a case was registered against the actress and her husband on August 14 at the Juhu police station for allegedly cheating a businessman in a loan-cum-investment deal worth around Rs 60 crore.
A lookout circular is a mechanism used to prevent a person from leaving the country or to keep an eye on their movements. This is usually done by issuing alerts to immigration and border control points.
It is worth mentioning that actor Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was recently on a tour of Punjab for the release of his film Meher.
