Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 5:- Under the guidance of Punjab’s Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairy Development Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and the leadership of Director of Dairy Development Department Punjab, S. Kuldeep Singh Jasowal, the Dairy Development Department and Punjab Dairy Development Board are launching the second batch of a two-week free dairy training course for Scheduled Caste (SC) beneficiaries starting September 15, 2025, at the Dairy Training Center, Chatamli.
Providing details, Harpreet Singh, Deputy Director Dairy, SAS Nagar, stated that this training scheme is exclusively for individuals aged between 18 and 50 years, who have at least passed the fifth grade and belong to the Scheduled Caste community. 
The Punjab Government is offering this training free of cost, with no fees involved. Moreover, trainees will receive a stipend of ?3,500 per person upon completion of the training. Dairy Inspector S. Karnvir Singh Bawa appealed to SC youth to take full advantage of this dairy training and the department’s schemes to establish their dairy businesses on commercial lines. 
He emphasized that adopting dairy farming is essential in today’s times to diversify the agricultural crop cycle.
