Derabassi/Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 01 September 2025:- Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain today visited the causeway of Ghaggar River at Mubarakpur near Derabassi with a team of health officials and inspected the medical camp set up there by the District Health Department. On this occasion, she interacted with the people and inquired about their condition.
The Civil Surgeon said that the District Health Department is fully prepared to provide necessary health services to the people in the event of floods and medical teams have been deployed wherever needed. He said that the necessary medical arrangements have already been completed in various government health institutions of the district.
So that any untoward situation can be dealt with. He said that in flood conditions, there is a possibility of water-borne diseases, for which necessary preparations have been made for the examination and treatment and the health department is keeping a close watch on the flood situation.
He said that the health department is committed to the well-being of the district residents and no stone is being left unturned in providing health services even in this difficult time. On this occasion, District Epidemiologist Dr. Anamika Soni, Epidemiologist Dr. Harmandeep Kaur and other health officials were present with him.
