The dream of a permanent house for poor families is now coming true, the state government has become a support.

For women who run their families by doing daily wage labour under MNREGA, the dream of a permanent house often remains unfulfilled. But in such a struggling situation, if help is received from the government, then it is no less than a boon.

The dream of own permanent house came true with the help of the government-
34-year-old Rajni Devi of Bathri village of Haroli assembly constituency, who benefited from the Swarn Jayanti Aashray Yojana, says that during the rainy season, there were a lot of problems in living due to water dripping from the roof of the kutcha house. Also, there was a fear of the house collapsing. But with the help received from the state government, their worries have now gone away. Her family is very happy that with the help of the government, their dream of a permanent house has come true.
Rajni Devi says that after her husband passed away, her life was filled with challenges. She had to face a lot of difficulties in raising children and running the house by working in MNREGA. In such a situation, building her own house was no less than a big dream. Meanwhile, the financial help received from the Himachal government to build a permanent house changed her life. She has expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.

Help of Rs 2.85 crore in Una so far-
District Welfare Officer Una Awas Pandit says that in the last two years, financial help of about Rs 2.85 crore has been given to build 190 houses under this scheme in the district. This has helped poor families to realize their dream of a permanent house.

Eligibility of the scheme-
Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh is provided to eligible beneficiaries. This assistance is given to those persons in whose name the land is registered and they belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Class.
Himachal government is fulfilling the dream of thousands of such families to have their own pucca house through Swarn Jayanti Aashray Yojana. This scheme provides financial assistance for the construction of pucca houses to those eligible families of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes, who have their own land but lack of resources deprives them of a strong roof.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has consistently given top priority to bring about major improvement in the lives of the poor, needy and deprived sections. He has special emphasis on providing proper government assistance to the poor and deprived. As per his guidelines, work is being done to cover all the eligible people in Una district under the scheme.

What does the Deputy Commissioner say-
Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal says that the district administration is working with full readiness to provide the benefits of government housing schemes to every eligible person in the district. Special efforts have been made under the Swarn Jayanti Aashray Yojana so that no eligible family is deprived of this benefit.
