Joint Chief Electoral Officer Punjab conducted an external inspection of the EVM warehouse in Hoshiarpur.

Hoshiarpur- Today, the monthly inspection of the EVM warehouse set up at the district level under the guidelines of the Election Commission of India was conducted by the Joint Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, Secretary Singh Bal, for the month of August 2025. This inspection was conducted in the presence of Additional District Electoral Officer Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, in which representatives of various political parties were also present. During this, an external inspection of the warehouse was conducted.

Joint Chief Electoral Officer Secretary Singh Bal said that the monthly inspection of the EVM warehouse is a regular and necessary process, which is carried out from time to time in every district.
Its objective is to maintain the fairness, security and transparency of the election process. He expressed satisfaction that the warehouse management in Hoshiarpur district has been found to be of the highest standards. Secretary Singh Bal, while holding a meeting with the representatives of political parties, asked them to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
On this occasion, Bhushan Kumar Sharma from BJP, Rajnish Tandon from Indian National Congress, Khushi Ram from Aam Aadmi Party, Sukhjinder Singh from Akali Dal and Balwinder Singh from CPI (M) besides Nodal Officer EVMs Balwinder Singh, Assistant Nodal Officer Rupinderpal Singh, Tehsildar Elections Harminder Singh, Election Kanungo Deepak Kumar, Lakhvir Singh and Rajan Monga were also present.
